Olusegun Obasanjo has advised that an effective way to tackle the issues of agitation from the South East is for President Buhari to meet with leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu and know his worries.
The Former president In an interview with The Newsweek in London yesterday September 15th, says he sees nothing wrong in President Buhari meeting with the IPOB leader and that him, Obasanjo, would also like to meet with Kanu and his likes in Nigeria.
“I don’t see anything wrong in that [Buhari meeting with Kanu]. I would not object to that. If anything, I would encourage it. I would want to meet Kanu myself and talk to people like him, people of his age, [and ask:] ‘What are your worries?’ Not only from the southeast but from all parts of Nigeria.” he said
