A geberator repairer, Olatunji Opadiran, committed suicide in his apartment at Morounfolu Street in the Ogba area of Lagos State on Monday July 30th.
According to reports, Olatunji hung out with some of his friends that Monday evening and after eating and having fun, he asked to take his leave. His friends thought he was tired and needed to go and sleep. However on getting home, Tunji who was apparently depressed, tied a rope to his ceiling and hung himself.

A man has allegedly killed his kinsman in Abia state over eight hundred Naira.
Operatives of Abia State Police Command yesterday arrested one Jude Okebuagwu for killing a 56-year-old man, identified as Chibuzor Ogbunma over N800 electricity bill.

The incident happened at the suspect’s home town at Umuoko village in Ntigha-Umukalu-Isiala-Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State.

Pregnant women in Bayelsa State are going to receive N3,000 monthly allowance to cover the cost of antenatal care.
This was made known by Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State, who announced a monthly allowance of N3,000 for pregnant women in the state.

Seriake Dickson made the announcement while speaking during the maiden Infant and Maternal Mortality Summit held in Yenagoa, the state capital, on Monday.
He said the allowance was meant to cover the cost of antenatal care for expectant mothers every month. He said;

A 15-year-old girl identified as Zainab Mohammed, reportedly escaped from Boko Haram Camp in Adamawa State.
